[1638-8 May]  Ambrose Bennet Land Grant

To all to whome these presents shall come I Sir John Harvey Lt Governr &c and &c whereas &c NOW KNOW yee that I the said Sr John Harvey Kt do with the consent of the Councell of State accordingly give and grant unto AMBROSE BENNETT three hundred acres of land Scituate lying and being in the Countie of the Isle of Wight being bounded betweene two Creeks the one called Reynolds and his Creeke the other being a branch of the said Creeke which Land runneth into the woods East and by South the said three hundred acres of land being due unto him the said AMBROSE BENNETT by and for the transportation at his own proper Cost and charges of six persons into this Colony whose names are in the Records mentioned under this pattent.  To have and to hold &c dated the 8th day of May 1638 . . . . .
