Bill Fields - 2/9/1999. “The wife of RICHARD III is identified as ELIZABETH
BRYANT & I agree that is probably correct. The Bertie will of
JAMES BRYANT,
1731/1734, named a son RICHd BRASWELL & many people have--I think
mistakenly--identified him as RICHARD II, claiming that his wife ELENOR was a
BRYANT. We know that the CARVER children were born in the 1720s & I do not
believe a man would include in his will a son-in-law who had left his daughter
to live with another woman. More study of the BRYANTs would be necessary to
prove this but I think it reasonable to assume that JAMES BRYANT's son-in-law
was RICHARD III."
14115.......RICHARD IV, moved to Dobbs (later Wayne) Co, NC. d. 1788
141153.....RICHARD V, d. 1783 in Anson Co., NC
Richard V and his brother Sampson were both Revolutionary soldiers and their
pension records contain much information.
