This is Foy's Uncle William Ira Braswell (born 1895 in Johnson City, TN) pictured on the left with his doughboy buddy during WWI.  He was assigned to the 42nd Infantry Division and fought in France.  Douglas MacArthur became the division commander.  Uncle Ira received serious mustard gas wounds.
